Now it is time to draw our logo.

In this video we will be recreating and
building our logo using vector shapes.

I will use a combination
of tools including shapes,

the alignment controls to put it together.

I'm going to be going for a flat,
simple, geometric design style.

And first, what I like to do is just
kind of take a look at the drawing, and

analyze it a little bit.

We're going to be using simple
shapes to recreate this image.

So, like, a rectangle, another rectangle,
another rectangle for the metal band.

A rounded shape for our eraser.

This is a triangle, a smaller triangle.

You can see that we're really just
dissecting it into simpler shapes.

For colors, we can open up, over here,

You can create a group of colors to use.

So this is how you can build a color

And so this is helpful for us because when
we're putting together our page mock-up,

The first step to creating
this is drawing a rectangle.

That's going to be the body
of our very tiny pencil.

lighter yellow color.

click, and drag down.

Choose my darker color, and scale this up.

And you can see this creates a nice
subtle definition of the pencil.

Next, using our pencil, our P,
we're gonna create the tip of the pencil.

constrain my proportions to 45 degrees.
