Learn to Build a Web App with AI

You have a spec and a validated idea. Now you build the real thing.

This track takes you from an empty project to a live web app with real users. You'll start with the foundation every modern app needs: a clean application scaffold, secure sign-up and sign-in with Clerk, and a Convex database ready to store data for authenticated users.

From there you'll connect your app to the outside world. You'll learn the practical differences between CLIs, APIs, and MCPs, choose the right one for each job, and wire up an AI API so your app can do something genuinely intelligent with real input.

Then comes the work that separates a demo from a product. You'll trace your app's core loop and fix the weak points, debug with AI without losing control of your codebase, deploy to production and verify it actually works there, and deliberately try to break your own app before a user does. You'll watch a real person use it and turn their confusion into a fix list.

You'll also cover the practices that keep an app safe and maintainable: protecting secrets, authorization, input validation, AI skills for a repeatable workflow, and the /goal command for multi-step development work.

Finally, you'll launch. Monitoring, performance, SEO, analytics, feedback collection, and finding your first users. Then you'll use what those users tell you to fix live bugs and plan the next version.
