Cant figure out why my JS wont run

in your toggleList event listener, the last line is }); where the curly closes the else block and the paren closes the argument list to addEventListener, but notice you are missing the closing curly for the callback function block. it is expecting another } which is why the ) is an unexpected token.

Also, just a note there are some missing spaces and quotes in the second button element tag.
