JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Creating Reusable Code with Functions Passing an Argument to a Function

Can someone help me answer this?

I have tried so many codes to it but I can't find the real answer.

Hi Danilo,

Please post your code so we can help you track down the issue. :)

Best, Cena

This is what I got to pass the 2 challenges:

function returnValue(echo){
  return echo;
}

var echo = returnValue("This is the returned string!");
returnValue();

I wrote

function returnValue(argument-name) {
 return argument-name;
}

var echo = returnValue("this is the string");

and that worked.

Think of parameters as placeholders or variables that have no value until the function is called. Once we invoke or call the function we pass in arguments.

function returnValue(argument) {
  return argument;
}

Thanks to all of you guys, you all really helped me lot.
