flask_app Didn't get a 200 at /multiply

My code runs in my IDE but fails the challenge. Would anyone know why?

This is my working code:

from flask import Flask

app = Flask(__name__)

@app.route("/multiply")
@app.route("/multiply/<int:num1>/<int:num2>")
@app.route("/multiply/<float:num1>/<int:num2>")
@app.route("/multiply/<int:num1>/<float:num2>")
@app.route("/multiply/<float:num1>/<float:num2>")
def multiply(num1=5, num2=5):
  return "{}".format(num1*num2)

Your code is mostly correct. Firstly, remove the trailing slashes from your routes. Secondly, num1 and num2 should have defaults of 5. And finally, you need to return the product not the entire sum e.g. 25 not 5 * 5 = 25

Thank-you Charlie, all your suggestions were necessary to make it work. I would also add for any future viewers that most of my routes were not necessary since the values were hard coded into the view, and not the browser. The code that passed: app = Flask(name) @app.route('/multiply') def multiply(num1=5,num2=5): return '{}'.format(num1*num2)
