function--> return the larger number

can't find the error I made in my code.. Thank you for helping

  if (number1 > number2) {
    return number1;

    return number2;

Syntax Error, you forgot to close your function with a curly bracket "}"

function max(number1, number2) {
  if (number1 > number2) {
    return number1;
  } else {
    return number2;
  }
} // missed this one
