I thought my Markdown editor was broken when I tried to use PlaceKittens. The site is up but the content doesn't work.
Looking for a replacement, I found:

Treehouse TeacherThere are quite a few good placeholder sites out there. They are usually a small project put together for fun, so they can be a bit up-and-down. I chose placekitten, because it's relatively safe (been up for a while), and I think most people enjoy kittens. That said, I'm sorry if it was down for a bit. Definitely search around for other placeholder sites to find ones you like. The fillmurray site is pretty wonderful.
