Java Java Basics Perfecting the Prototype String Equality

Should I declare the string of the thirdExample or simply compare it to its value?

On the if (firstExample.equalsIgnoreCase (here I declare the "%s", thirdExample) or simply put "HELLO")

Equality.java
// I have imported a java.io.Console for you, it is named console.
String firstExample = "hello";
String secondExample = "hello";
String thirdExample = "HELLO";

if (firstExample.equalsIgnoreCase("HELLO")) {
  console.printf("first and third are the same ignoring case");
}

Hello, the first task is asking you to compare the first and second strings.

if (firstExample.equals(secondExample)){
console.printf("first is equal to second");
}

The second task will ask you to compare the values of the first and third variable - and ignore the case. So on the second task, use the equalsIgnoreCase method.

Ive done that on the first task, added the .equalsIgnoreCase on the second task, and it keeps failing, and I dont know why

if (firstExample.equalsIgnoreCase(thirdExample)) { console.printf("first and third are the same ignoring case"); }

Just cpied pasted your code and it works. Try refreshing.

Already refreshed a thousand times, still nothing
