Android Google Play Services Interacting with Your API Display Loading and Error States

The pace of instruction in this project is too fast.

Nearly done with all Android modules on TeamTreeHouse, but the pace of the video is too fast. Concepts are not explained well or at all in terms that students can understand.

As soon as he finishes typing a block of code he has moved on to another code block or different file, before I can even see what he has typed. Obviously I can pause the video, but the pace is too fast.

I am able to figure out everything, but I there are too many assumptions as to the student's knowledge for this project.

I am speaking about the Google Play Services project. The other Android courses are excellent, explained well, and paced well.

I did 80%+ of the Java basics course.

I totally agree with you, extremely frustrating to try and follow along with. It feels as if this course assumes you just downloaded the finished product and are merely watching him explain some of what he is doing as he goes!

100% agree.

I've worn out the pause button (even ran course at 50% speed with no help), and then this video... Well, it permanently lost me about 3 minutes in. I think I give up! It's too bad, it would've been an interesting course. ?

omg, I agree with you guys! I spent a working day on this course and still haven't finished! Treehouse should add rating function so that the users could rate the content of each course and to decide to take it or not. It is also useful for quality improvement inside treehouse.

He types at the speed of light(or a professional developer on the clock). Good for his boss. Terrible for his students.

Also the main issue is the hopping, if you break this video into code blocks, I think he easily typed out a section every 20 secs. Jump here, type 3 lines, jump there type 2, zoom zoom. Yea...

It's like standing behind him and watching him typing, no interaction or explanation at all.

this course is garbage
