JavaScript JavaScript and the DOM (Retiring) Making Changes to the DOM Modifying Elements

This is not working....

I'm completing the challenge and this is not validating

app.js
let inputValue = document.querySelector('#link').textContent
index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
    <head>
        <title>DOM Manipulation</title>
    </head>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css" />
    <body>
        <div id="content">
            <label>Link Name:</label>
            <input type="text" id="linkName">
            <a id="link" href="https://teamtreehouse.com">batata</a>
        </div>
        <script src="app.js"></script>
    </body>
</html>

That solution is not working for me as well.

You're selecting the wrong ID with the wrong ID name.

I don't understand why inputValue = document.getElementById('#link').textContent does not work.

It's asking you to get linkName not link

let inputValue = document.getElementById('#linkName').textContent still no dice :{

You changed your syntax, you're confusing getElementById with querySelector

let inputValue = document.querySelector('#linkName').textContent i am having a real hard time with this one
