You wrote <nav></nav> and nested it. The thing is that <nav< isn't called a introductory content.

<header> The HTML <header> element represents introductory content, typically a group of introductory or navigational aids. It may contain some heading elements but also other elements like a logo, a search form, an author name, and so on. - https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element

You could have wrote it like this:

    <ul>
      <li><a href="#">About</a></li>
      <li><a href="#">Work</a></li>
      <li><a href="#">Contact</a></li>            
    </ul>
    <h1>My Web Design &amp; Development Portfolio!</h1> 
    <p>A site featuring my latest work.</p>

The <header> represents a group of introductory content, and you have to include the ul as well.
