CSS How to Make a Website Styling Web Pages and Navigation Style the Image Captions

Why didn't my paragraphs' color change?

I followed what you did in this video and saved my css,but the paragraph's color didn't change.

#gallery li a p { margin:0; padding:5%; font-size: 0.75em; color: #bdc3c7; }

Try this...

#gallery li p { margin:0; padding:5%; font-size: 0.75em; color: #bdc3c7 }

There shouldn't be a space between the hash (#) and the ID (gallery). And there is an anchor (a) before the paragraph (p) which doesn't really make any sense!

I deleted the space between # and gallery,then the color changed. And I think an anchor (a) should be there,because here is my index.html code. <ul id="gallery"> <li> <a href="img/numbers-01.jpg"> <img src="img/numbers-01.jpg" alt=""> <p>Experimentation with color and texture.</p>

Oh, yes in that case the anchor should probably be there :P
